Mako's "Dilemma" - Storyboard (2022)
A storyboard class project using the provided audio and characters to come up with my own scenes. Three characters from "Legend of Korra" were provided for me to replace the existing character roles from the audio. With my creativity, I'm portraying a difficult relationship between Mako and Korra, as she decided to leave him and not be part of his "political" issue.

Exploration - Storyboard (2022)
This storyboard class project is to animate at least three characters with the provided audio. In this segment, there are three explorers: two characters in front are the main characters with audio script while the third plays the role as the background character. The two explorers are arguing whether they should proceed to the abandoned marine research facility while being unaware of the background character's dilemma.

Phone Call - Storyboard (2022)
This storyboard class project is to demonstrate my creativity in having my characters perform their act while using the provided audio. The woman ends up calling the operator to report a suspected murderer, but becomes frustrated from the operator's number request. Here I wanted to put a gag where the people across the window wanted to have a friendly interaction with the woman on the phone.

A Growing Bond - Storyboard (2022)
This storyboard project is to demonstrate my knowledge in what I've learned throughout my experience from storyboarding class. The human boy and the elf girl goes out together until she decided to tell him the story of how she received her magical powers. Even though the girl was born of a different species, the boy still wanted to form a bond. I wanted to incorporate my anime art design into this project as my own passion.

Flour Sack - Animation (2021)
A project done during Animation Principle class. The idea was to use what we've learned so far in the semester and apply it to our flour sack animation. For this animation, my setting for this was in an old room. The flour sack finds himself looking around, only finding that he was about to be discovered by something from upstairs.

The Hammer - Animation (2021)
This is a final project for Animation Principle class. We were given a list of cartoon quotes to choose from and animate them using Zipper the Fly as our character base. Here I chose the quote, "Well stupid? Are you ready?!" and animated Zipper the Fly with his friend stuck on the floor. The gag was to have Zipper take out a giant hammer before making a big pound upon his friend. Additional cartoon sound effect was included to show a typical cartoony dilemma.

Klee And the Bottle - Animation (2021)
A small personal project that I wanted to try while fiddling around with a 3D animation software, Source Filmmaker. Unlike many industrial animation software, "SFM" has its role of only working on animation rather than being hybrid of creating models or assets and then animating. This project was to experiment with what I could do with the bare knowledge of animating 3D models. For this scene, I decided to have the character, Klee, to snoop around an empty room, finding a soda bottle in the vault.

Gundam Wings - Animation (2022)
This is a personal work that I wanted to work on. I wanted to recreate an existing scene in an anime, Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise, and use my own characters and my own Gundam design into the animation.

Tsundere - Animation (2022)
A personal small project that I've always wanted to work on. For this animation, I wanted to animate the lip sync of my friend's character, who's expressing her feelings toward the male character. A POV shot was included to add a close-up view of her agitated response from below. In order for my lip sync animation to be precise, I had to use my own voice-overs as reference.

Original Character in Genshin Impact - Animation (2021)
This is a personal work I've wanted to work on for a video game, Genshin Impact. It is an open-world RPG game created by Hoyoverse where you explore the world of fantasy, playing as a variety of different characters. For the enjoyment of this game, I wanted to create my own character, but animated as an obtainable character within the in-game shop. Some assets were used from the game as I do not have the level of skill to recreate the shooting star, camera movement, and background.
Here, the animation shows the shooting star coming from the sky, turning into a bright golden color before introducing my drawn featured character. The movement of the character drawing and the animated text was done in Adobe After Effects so that I can closely replicate its animation as it would be done in-game.

Krystal Lip sync Practice - Animation (2022)
A personal work I decided to work on for fun. I also wanted to work on practicing lip sync animation while using the voice over my friend had made for me. The character I wanted to use was my friend's fictional character, Krystal.

What the Lion Doin'? - Animation (2022)
This is a personal animation gag I wanted to make using an existing audio. The original source of audio was the person in POV being confused at the hole on the door before Elmo makes a sudden appearance and says "Hi!" For my animation, I wanted to animate the confusing dilemma using my characters. The character involves the boy noticing the name tag, "Ayame" on the door before the small lion barges through the door with its head sticking out.

Gentlemen Wannabes - Storyboard (2022)
A personal storyboard work I wanted to do for fun. Two gentlemen "wannabes" drive up to the house whereas the passenger needed his partner to remember that they are "English gentlemen." The gag is that the driver listens to his instruction, but does a terrible job. So the passenger had to use force to remind him.

The Search for Sandvich: Out to Sea! - Storyboard (2022)
This is a personal storyboard work for the video game community of Team Fortress 2. The story shows the mercenaries on the search for the "sandvich" while also looking for their missing Medic. However, they've discovered an unfortunate tragedy when headed out to sea. The original video source was recorded in real-life where the Team Fortress 2 voice cast were touring around America, "screaming out sandvich" for comedy. To commemorate for the video game community, I wanted to make this into a storyboard project where the voice cast are portrayed in their designated characters.

The Potted Seed - Animation (2023)
A short animation work I wanted to do using my friend's character, Shiny Hannah. She's a nonhuman being who loves gardening. So she decided to go up to Cyrus with her planted pot. Although he's never done gardening before, Hannah is willing to teach him how to plant a seedling.

Siege Shenanigans - Storyboard (2023)
This storyboard project was based on my friends having fun together in a video game. I wanted to visualize the hilarious conversation with my own creativity for fun and gags. My friends were portrayed in their video game character for Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6 Siege as it is easier to know who's who. And since three of my friends were in the conversation, I decided to add two more characters to show their confusion from this dilemma.

Match Light-up - Animation (2023)
First fire effects for an animation workshop project of 2D effects. This one I chose to work on a match light-up. A lonely match becomes alive with a small flick of light before shaking the fire out. The idea was to work on the small fiery effect for a match while giving it some movement flow.

Build Burning Gundam Power-up - Animation (2023)
Second fire effects for an animation workshop project of 2D effects. This one I wanted to experiment with the use of a robotic character that imbues the power of flames. Upon power-up, the fire builds up from a small source until it flashes to a bigger flame around its body.
Program used: Clip Studio Paint
Rocket Blast - Animation (2023)
Third fire effects project for an animation workshop of 2D effects. I chose to work on rocket blast while working on its camera panning. Although I did not use the camera layer to animate my camera path, I decided to go for my older method of "making a camera panning movement." For the rocket blast I had to use multiple layers to separate the smoke and the fiery blast.

Water faucet drip - Animation (2023)
First water effects project for 2D effects animation. This is to work on skills to replicate its natural movement; from a water slipping off a faucet, dropping down to a puddle with a ripple effect.
Program used: Clip Studio Paint
Object splash - Animation (2023)
Second water effects project for 2D effects animation. This I decided to work using actual reference of myself dropping an item into the water. I used a rock as my item reference and tried to capture the splash effects upon impact.
Program used: Clip Studio Paint
Waterfall - Animation (2023)
Third water effects project for 2D effects animation. I wanted to try replicating waterfall effects to challenge my own skills. This required a lot of separate layers to get what I needed; layers for the water ripple, multiple splashes, and the waterfall texture.
Program used: Clip Studio Paint
Magical Dust - Animation (2023)
A magical dust project for 2D effects animation. This one required a lot of works for particles. While working on this, I had to look up a lot of references to see how magical dust is animated. I wanted to have fun with this by having a girl pick up a pile of magic dust and give a gentle blow to cast the magic into the air.

FruitMelody Teacher - Storyboard (2023)
A small gag storyboard project that I wanted to do for fun. This was based on a small ongoing funny conversation with friends and I decided to put this into storyboard. I've also included voice recordings, each character done from my friends.

Sunset Car Ride - Animation (2023)
A small animation loop that I've wanted to do as a personal work of mine. I wanted to explore the different motions happening in one animation loop ranging from foreground to background. For my subject, I wanted to work on a sunset car ride, where the two characters are heading back home at the end of the day.

Reaching out in Space - Animation (2024)
A small animation loop commissioned for the user's use. The context of this animation is a Gundam humanoid floating in the middle of space; reaching out for what's in front of him. The clothing and the hair was animated in a flow as the illuminated green particles burst from off-screen, engulfing the character. The face and the hand were animated to represent a sorrow-like mood.
